Help children right here at home. Donate to the Glasgow/Barren County BackPack Program and take hunger out of a child's weekend.
Just a small donation will go a long way toward helping us meet our goal, a donation of $120 will feed one child for an entire school year. Please donate to the children of the Glasgow/Barren County BackPack Program.
Glasgow and Barren County Schools have over 5,000 children who qualify for free lunch. But what about the weekends when school meals aren't an option. With the BackPack Program we can send nutritious, ready to eat or easily prepared food home with these children on Fridays to keep hunger out of their weekend plans. We have been able to provide weekend food for 160 children in one school year. We need to continue to make food available to these kids and others who might not have enough to eat at home. Please join our team and feed these children.
This program is made possible by our partnership with Feeding America, Kentucky's Heartland. Local donors provide the funds necessary for FAKH to purchase the food that children in Barren County receive each week through the BackPack Program.
