Hardin County BackPack Program's Fundraiser
Help Support Hungry Children
Join me and help make a difference, please give today.
Join me in supporting real change. Let's support good in the world and make a difference. Help us provide food and hope to hungry children by supporting the BackPack Program.
Just a small donation will go a long way to helping me meet my goal for our local BackPack Program.
This program is made possible by our partnership with Feeding America, Kentucky's Heartland. Local donors provide the funds necessary for FAKH to purchase the food that children in Hardin County and Elizabethtown Independent Schools receive each week through the BackPack Program.
HCS and EIS schools average about 750-800 kids each week that receive a bag of food. 18% or roughly 4,890 children in our area are food insecure. That means that these children do not know where their next meal will come from. http://map.feedingamerica.org/county/2015/child/ke...
Children who benefit from the Backpack Program "are more attentive in class and have more focus". A lot of our Backpack kids eat lunch at school and may not eat much or anything at all at home and must wait till breakfast at school the following day. Please help make sure our kids in our community get the food and resources they need. Donate today! The kids of Hardin County and Elizabethtown thank you!
